Dipak Madhav has been appointed as GM for Goscor Lift Truck Company’s pre-owned division. With his wealth of experience in engaging at a director / executive level, Madhav is tasked with positioning the business among the top three pre-owned materials handling equipment suppliers in the country.
In his new role, Madhav will manage the pre-owned as well as the battery business within Goscor Lift Truck Company (GLTC). He has been tasked with establishing the business and growing market share. With an existing pre-owned fleet of approximately 400 machines, GLTC’s pre-owned division offers a wide range of materials handling equipment.
Madhav believes that prospects for the pre-owned business are high at this point in time, especially on the back of the current tough economic conditions. With many fleet owners cash-strapped, pre-owned offers a cost-effective route to owning equipment, especially when supplied by a reputable supplier like GLTC. The battery business, he says, is also an important aspect of GLTC’s business in its quest to maximise service excellence to its clients.
“One of my immediate focus areas is to look at the costing model to ensure that we are competitively priced. The end goal is to establish ourselves among the top three pre-owned materials handling equipment suppliers in the country,” says Madhav.
Equipped with an NQF 7 Executive Development Program certificate in Retail Management and a Diploma in Joint Management Development Program, Madhav is a result orientated professional able to work with his own initiative and within groups.
With a demonstrated history and proven ability to make strategic contributions at an executive/ director level, as well as experience in executing high priority projects, Madhav has developed the necessary leadership skills needed to take the business forward.
