Goscor Lift Truck Company (GLTC) will show farmers the famous Doosan ‘brakes for life’ system at Nampo 2016. On show will be two Doosan forklifts, the D35c-5 forklift and a refurbished Doosan D25s-5. Also on show are two Crown pallet jacks, which have become very common around materials handling facilities on local farms.

The ‘brakes for life’ system, which made world headlines when it was introduced some years ago – and still a very prevalent feature on Doosan forklifts – is an oil-cooled disc brake system, which, being totally enclosed, eliminates all outside contamination by any abrasive or corrosive dust particles. The system significantly reduces operating costs and GLTC offers on it a 60-month, unlimited hours guarantee.

Goscor’s Ronald Ryan says that Doosan has always been way ahead in terms of innovative fork lift technology and the ‘brakes for life’ system, is an excellent example of this.

The Doosan D35c-5 is part of the state-of-the-art and redesigned Doosan Pro-5 series which has given Doosan its worldwide reputation for durable, dependable and operator-friendly forklifts. “This machine provides a well-balanced mix of technology, operator comfort refinements, performance efficiencies and advances in serviceability that help farmers increase their productivity while at the same time lowering their operating costs,” says Ryan.

He adds that GLTC and Doosan are highly focused on lowering the lifetime ownership costs of Doosan machines, which is helped by the unique features of the Pro-5 Series forklifts which include:

  • Optimised operator comfort
  • High-powered, fuel efficient, EPA compliant diesel, LPG and gasoline engines
  • Virtually maintenance free, oil-cooled disc brakes (Brakes for Life)
  • Power reversal transmission
  • Lift and tilt locking hydraulic control valve
  • OSS (Operator Sense and System)

The other Doosan on show will be the D25s-5, another Doosan Pro-5 series forklift. The unique thing about this particular machine is that it has been completely refurbished by GLTC. “We are able to refurbish forklifts to look brand new and to operate as efficiently as they ever did,” says Ryan. “In these challenging economic times we understand that it is sometimes difficult for farmers to buy new and we have therefore made the refurbishment route much more accessible to them. We invite all farmers to come and try our refurbished forklift and to first-hand experience the intrinsic value of these machines,” he says.

With a countrywide footprint of branches and service centres, farmers are assured of the best possible service from Goscor Lift Truck Company, a company which has developed a national reputation for excellence in both product and service.

Indeed this reputation has become an international one. Recently at a ceremony at the Doosan factory in Korea, Goscor Lift Truck Company was awarded the Global Doosan Forklift Dealer of the Year 2015. While GLTC has won several awards for their performance over the years from Doosan this is the first time they have won the Global Dealer of the Year Award.

Crown, which has developed a worldwide reputation for award winning product design as well as advanced engineering and technology, is represented at Nampo by two pallet jacks, which will be given away to two lucky ticket holders.
